FB RX-7 GSL wheels in 1/24
After embarking on the exciting journey of constructing the 78 FB RX-7, I couldn't help but feel a wave of nostalgia for the 83’ RX-7 GSL that my dad bought brand new many years ago, which was also the car where I learned to drive a manual transmission for the very first time. It was a striking white GSL, and driving it was nothing short of exhilarating. Nothing beats the unique sound and performance of a rotary engine! So, when I finally opened the box of my model kit and caught sight of those unremarkable turbine-style wheels, I instantly realized I had to recreate the later GSL wheels as a heartfelt tribute to the car that holds such cherished memories from my high school years. These beautifully designed FB wheels were originally crafted for the Hasegawa kit but can be easily adapted for use with several other kits available on the market in that same scale. The wheels come unpainted, but I made sure to include some photos of the finished products that I completed for my kit, showcasing the potential transformation.
